Makeda Silvera - Part 1Makeda Silvera was born in Jamaica and has lived in Canada for over thirty years. She is the co-founder and managing editor of Sister Vision Press and is the author of two collections of short stories, Remembering G (Sister Vision, 1990) and Her Head a Village (Press Gang, 1994). She is the editor of the groundbreaking Piece of My Heart: A Lesbian of Colour Anthology (Sister Vision, 1991), The Other Woman: Women of Colour in Contemporary Canadian Literature (Sister Vision, 1994), and Ma-Ka: Diaspora Juks (Sister Vision, 1997).
