Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI)

The CFI was created by the Government of Canada in 1997. The organization contributes to research and development in Canada by investing in facilities and equipment that foster private sector innovation. The CFI has supported Artmob through its Leaders Opportunity Fund and Infrastructure Operating Fund, and enabled the building of the original Artmob infrastructure under the project "New Media Collaboration Centre: Canadian Arts Content Management System and Centre for Digital Policy and Cultural Rights Initiatives". Canadian Media Research Consortium (CMRC)

CMRC supports Canadian institutions and research on the economic, cultural, and technical aspects of media. The CMRC has supported Artmob by funding the project "See More, Know More, Do More: Shaping and Sharing Canada's Digital Image" carried out by Artmob creators Dr. Coombe and Dr. Innes. OIT has supported Artmob, as well as a number of Ontario universities, in the growth and development of research infrastructures.

Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada 

SSHRC is Canada's primary research funding agency supporting postsecondary academic research and training in the social sciences and humanities. A number of SSHRC grants have supported the development of Artmob in various ways.

York University is an emerging global leader in cultural production and creative research. Home to the Artmob creators, York has supported the project through Faculty of Arts Research Grants.
